Schools and Colleges

Ananta offers schools a whole range of educational opportunities.

There are many strong links to the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1, 2 and 3, with links to the Art and Design, Religious Education, and Geography areas.

Additionally there are many ways further and higher educational establishments could benefit from the exhibition.

Using both the Ananta website and the award-winning CLEO website (Cumbria and Lancashire Education Online) there are many specific resources that can be accessed by schools and colleges remotely.

To get the very most from the Ananta Experience an actual visit is highly recommended.

School Visits

We warmly welcome visits from schools. All visits are completely free.

We recommend a 1 ½ hour visit. During this visit the school group will get to;

Booking for schools is essential. In order to book please contact Emma and Claire on 01229 581127

College Visits

For colleges the exhibition offers the chance to see cutting edge digital artwork, and learn how the artist has gone about creating these 2D and 3D artworks.

It also offers higher and further education Religious Education courses the chance to learn about the creation of new contemporary religious iconography.

Any groups visiting will get the chance to meet the artist Sumit Sarkar and learn about his ideas and thoughts around Hindu iconography, and find out about why he has created this new body of work, and the things that have influenced him, as well as ask him questions.

We recommend colleges call us and discuss their areas of interest so we can specifically tailor a visit to their needs.

Other Visiting Groups

We would welcome visits from other groups. We would love to hear from Brownies, Scouts, young carers, and specialist groups from all sectors of the community. We can tailor a visit to your groups needs and visits in the evening would be possible in discussion with ourselves. Bookings for groups are essential. All visits are free.
